Ronaldo Aimed 6 Goals

MADRID: The Euro 2020 campaign this time is a platform for Cristiano Ronaldo to become the all -time leading scorer on the international stage.

To realize that goal, the Portuguese captain must score six goals in this campaign.

Currently, the record for most international goals is held by Iranian football legend, Ali Daei who recorded 109 goals in 149 appearances with the national team.

Ronaldo, who is also a Juventus striker, has scored 104 goals in 174 appearances for Portugal.

This will be Ronaldo’s fifth appearance in the Euros and become the only player to score in four different editions.

The former Real Madrid player has also scored in every international tournament he has participated in, including the World Cup.

Taking into account his goals in the Confederations Cup and the UEFA Nations League, the Portuguese star has now scored goals in 10 consecutive international tournaments and it is considered a world record.

Portugal, who went down as defending champions, will open the curtain on the Euro campaign this time against Hungary in Budapest on Tuesday.
